Atletico Madrid head queue for Batshuayi

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are leading the likes of Arsenal and Valencia in the pursuit of highly-rated Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye of Gunners scouts ever since his days at Standard Liege.

However, Marseille's lofty asking price is said to have calmed interest from the North London giants in recent weeks.

Italian publication Calciomercato now reveals that Atleti are clear favourites to land the young marksman as they are willing to match his £35m valuation.

Batshuayi has scored nine goals in all competitions for Marseille this season.
