Van Gaal wants Ronaldo return

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has stated that he is hopeful of bringing legendary Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford next summer.

The 30-year-old is understood to be considering his future at the Bernabeu as he does not prefer to work under Rafael Benitez.

Van Gaal has now revealed in a press conference that he is weighing up a potential deal for the three-time Ballon d'Or winner.

"Ronaldo plays on the wings and he is fast and scores goals. There is no trainer in the world that doesn't like him," He said.

"Of course we are looking - but are looking at all players, not just Ronaldo. But these players are mostly ungettable. With Ronaldo, let's wait and hope."

The 30-year-old was booed off by the Real faithful following his dismal showing during his side's 4-0 thrashing against Barcelona in the El Clasico.
