Man Utd to sign Ashley Cole?

Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has been linked with surprise move to Manchester United.

The former England international made his switch to AS Roma in 2014, and has since then struggled to cement a regular starting role.

Cole is now said to be desperate for a return to home shores, and will consider any kind of move in the winter transfer window.

According to The Sun, United boss Louis van Gaal will offer the 34-year-old with a short-term deal which will run for the season.

The experienced full-back has not featured for Capital outfit since March.
