Chelsea plot Alex Teixeira swoop

Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a mega bid for highly-rated Brazilian attacker Alex Teixeira.

The 25-year-old is said to have attracted interest from top European clubs following his impressive performances for Shakhtar Donetsk over the past year.

According to The Express, Blues boss Jose Mourinho considers Teixeira as the ideal fit to solve the club's poor league form, and will make a winter bid in the region of £30m for his services.

The Blues have also been credited with interest for in-form Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Teixeira has notched 23 goals in as many games for his club this campaign.
