Chelsea on verge of landing Brazilian Attacker?

Chelsea are reportedly close to sealing a winter deal for Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira.

The 25-year-old is among the long-line of Brazilian midfielders who have impressed in the Ukrainian league.

Teixeira has amassed an impressive tally of 21 goals in 14 league outings this season, and this is said to have caught the attention of some of Europe's elite clubs.

Reports in Brazil reveal that the Premier League holders have held crunch talks with the player's representatives and a deal could be struck in January, provided they are willing to pay a fee of around £30m.

Jose Mourinho's side host Bournemouth in their next league fixture on Saturday.
