McNair desperate for first-team football

Manchester United defender Paddy McNair will reportedly consider a temporary move away from Old Trafford in January.

The 20-year-old has started just one league game for the Red Devils this campaign with manager Louis van Gaal favouring the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind ahead of him in the pecking order.

A report from The Express cites that the young centre-back will be open to a short-term loan move in a bid to earn regular first-team football.

Consequently, the player is keen to impress during the second half of the campaign in a bid to cement his spot with Northern Ireland for Euro 2016.

McNair has earned five caps with Martin O'Neill's side.
