Liverpool eye deal for ex-Man Utd striker

Fiorentina frontman Giuseppe Rossi has emerged as a top transfer target for Liverpool in January.

The Italy international made 14 appearances for Reds' rivals Manchester United during the mid 2000s.

According to Ita Sports Press, the 28-year-old is said to have caught the eye of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp this season.

It is added that the German coach will not hesitate making an offer for the talented striker despite his links with United.

La Viola are expected to demand a fee of around £18m for centre-forward even though the player is not a regular starter under Paulo Sousa.
