Arsenal face Spurs fight for Ligue 1 striker

Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer stiff competition to Arsenal in the pursuit of one of highly-rated Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian international is said to considering a fresh challenge having seen his side stumble in spite of his exploits this season.

According to The Mail, scouts from both Gunners and Spurs were present to watch the striker in action during Marseille's 1-0 win over Rennes last week.

It is added that Mauricio Pochettino's side will start the bidding process by lodging an initial offer of around £15m for the 22-year-old marksman.

Batshuayi is currently rated at £25m by Les Phocéens.
