Everton, Aston Villa interested in Nemanja Vidic

Premier League duo Everton and Aston Villa are set to go head-to-head for the services of ex-Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic.

The Serbian international has yet to make an appearance for the Nerazzurri this season as he is recuperating from a herniated disc.

According to The Express, the Serie A leaders will look to cash in on the 34-year-old as they seek to add a young defender to their ranks in the New Year.

Vidic had a glorious spell at United between 2005 and 2014, where he went on to win three League Cups, five Premier League titles and the Champions League.
