Premier League striker reveals delight at Man Utd link

Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez is flattered to be linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 22-year-old joined the Magpies from Spanish side Tenerife in 2014, and has since then been a regular in the first-team.

Recent speculation had claimed that both Spurs and United were having a keen eye on the forward ahead of the winter transfer window.

While asked on the rumour, Perez revealed his delight and hinted that he would find it hard to reject a move to one of those clubs.

"I just know the same as you - what I hear, what I read. It is a great pleasure for me [to be linked with United and Spurs]. It is incredible, something very big and that's because I'm doing well but I must go on. It's my job," he told IBTimes.

Perez scored the winner as the Magpies earned a 2-1 win at Spurs last weekend.
