Steven Naismith hints at Everton stay

Aston Villa target Steven Naismith could stay put at Everton beyond the winter transfer window.

The Scotland international has struggled for sufficient playing time this season, and this has led to claims that he may seek a fresh challenge in the New Year.

However, the former Rangers man is more eager on landing a regular starting role at Goodison Park.

"I have got to try and force my way in (at Everton).I have worked hard in training, as I do all the time." he told Everton TV

“We are coming up to a busy period and the manager has been known to use his squad, so I'll be training as hard as I can to try and force my way in."

Naismith has made over 120 appearances for the Toffees till date.
