Arsenal clinch Mohamed Elneny deal

Arsenal have reportedly agreed on a £5m deal to sign highly-rated Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

The 23-year-old had been recently linked with a move to the Emirates' side.

A report from The Mirror says the Gunners have reached an agreement with Basel for the Egyptian international, who is mainly deployed as the midfield enforcer.

It is added that Elneny has undergone a successful medical at the North London outfit, and he is left to agree personal terms over a long term contract.

Elneny has made over 100 appearances for the Swiss champions since his move in January 2013.
