Liverpool join Saido Berahino pursuit

Liverpool have become the latest side to show interest in unsettled West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

The 22-year-old has been tipped to make way from the Baggies this month with long-time admirers Tottenham Hotspur keen on wrapping up a deal for his services.

However, The Mirror understands that the Reds may lodge a bid of their own for the talented marksman following the recent injury troubles to England star Daniel Sturridge.

It is added that the arrival of a new centre-forward may see an end to Sturridge's career at Anfield.

The Reds are currently eighth in the Premier League with 30 points.
