Chelsea to push through Pato deal

Chelsea are expected to speed up the signing of Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato, according to reports.

The Blues are currently short upfront after Diego Costa suffered a shin injury in the 3-3 draw against Everton last weekend.

According to The Express, Interim Blues boss Guus Hiddink is desperate to sign a new striker ahead of his side's encounter against Arsenal on Sunday.

Adding to this, Pato is considered the ideal option to fill the void, and the Blues could rush through the transfer in the coming days.

The 26-year-old has earned 25 caps with the Brazilian national side.
