Chelsea confident of Teixeira deal

Chelsea are seemingly confident of acquiring the services of Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixeira this month.

The Brazilian midfielder is said to have caught the eye of several European clubs through his impressive showing this season.

Recent reports had suggested that Liverpool could hijack a deal for the 26-year-old, who is eager to make a switch to England.

However, according to The Mirror, the Blues are sure of beating their rivals to the player's services before the winter transfer deadline.

Chelsea are said to have made a bid of around £30m for the player, who has already netted 26 goals this term.
