Liverpool are said to be in crunch talks with Leicester City for goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The Denmark international has been in good form for the Foxes, who are currently topping the Premier League table.

Widespread sources reveal that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is eager to bring in a new shot-stopper this month as he seeks to add competition to current number one Simon Mignolet.

It is added that the club are in negotiations over a potential winter deal for Foxes star Schmeichel.

The arrival of a new goalie could well see the departure of Adam Bogdan, who has had a dismal spell with the Merseyside giants.
