Patrick Bamford off to Norwich City?

Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is poised to seal a short-term loan move with Norwich City.

The 22-year-old returned to his parent club earlier this month following an unsuccessful stint at Crystal Palace.

Recent reports had suggested that Bamford could make a temporary move back to the Championship, with the likes of Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers vying for his services.

However, The Mail suggests that the Canaries are close to wrapping up a loan contract for the young marksman as they bid to secure their Premier League status.

The Canaries are currently 17th in the league standings, just two points above the dreaded drop zone.
