Atletico Madrid sell Jackson Martinez

Colombian international Jackson Martinez has reportedly made his way to the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou Evergrande.

The 29-year-old had attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal before joining the Basque outfit last summer.

However, he struggled to adapt to Atleti's style of play and spent much of his time warming the substitutes' bench.

According to Spanish source AS, the 29-year-old has headed to China with Guangzhou having paid a fee of around £31m for his transfer.

Teams from the Far East are permitted to bring in new recruits until the end of February.
