Man Utd target Aymeric Laporte

Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte is regarded as a top transfer target for Manchester United during the next transfer window.

The Red Devils are expected to bring in a new defender to partner Chris Smalling at centre-back.

French youngster Laporte has been constantly linked with a move to United over the past year, and according to Manchester Evening News, the club's hierarchy are mulling over a summer swoop for his services.

Unsettled Real Madrid star Raphael Varane and Everton ace John Stones are also on the club's shortlist for the summer.

Laporte, 21, has netted five goals in 30 appearances for the Basque side this season.
