Rashford to be offered five-year deal
Manchester United look set to offer their man of the moment, 18-year-old Marcus Rashford, a bumper five-year deal to keep him at Old Trafford.
The youngster burst onto the scene on Thursday evening, scoring twice on his senior debut, a 5-1 win over Danish minnows FC Midtjylland in the Europa League. Rashford was due to be among the substitutes for the game until Anthony Martial was injured during the warm-up and forced to withdraw.
With Martial's continued absence, Rashford was again named in the starting line-up to face Arsenal on Sunday, once more taking full advantage of the opportunity by bagging a brace as United downed their rivals 3-1.
The Daily Mail are now reporting that United will move to tie down their latest star by opening talks over a new five-year contract, with Rashford's wages rising from £1,500 per week to £15,000.
