Man Utd look into Carvalho deal

Manchester United will look to strengthen their squad with a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho this summer.

The Portugal international has been long linked with a switch to the Premier League with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal deemed to be interested in his signature.

However, according to The Sun, the Red Devils have evolved as the front-runners to land the midfield enforcer as they seek to challenge for the league title next season.

It is also known that the club will seek to bring in at least two to three defensive reinforcements, should Jose Mourinho take over the reigns during the off-season.

Carvalho's existing deal is due to expire in June 2020.
