Gonzalo Higuain in Man Utd link

Manchester United are readying a substantial offer for reported Chelsea and Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentina international is understood to have recently snubbed an extension at Napoli after president Aurelio de Laurentiis' claims that he had put on weight over the past month.

Corriere dello Sport understands that the Red Devils could launch a bid for the 28-year-old marksman, should Jose Mourinho takeover the reigns from Louis van Gaal in the summer.

Mourinho previously worked with the Argentine during his time at Real Madrid.

Higuain has netted 24 goals in the Serie A for Napoli this term.
