Tottenham keen on Wijnaldum
Tottenham Hotspur will pursue a deal for midfielder Giorginio Wijnaldum, should Newcastle United be relegated to the Championship.
The 25-year-old joined the Magpies last summer following a successful season with PSV Eindhoven that saw them lift the Eredivisie title.
He followed up to have a good start to the Premier League, and this led to claims that the club could settle for a mid-table finish this season.
However, he has struggled to keep up his form since the turn of the year with the Magpies finding it hard to make the moves in the striking department.
Sources now reveal that Spurs are looking into a deal for Wijnaldum with manager Mauricio Pochettino having trust on the player's ability.
It is also known that the player would only leave St.James Park if his side were to drop divisions at the end of the season.
London rivals West Ham United are also keeping tabs on the Netherlands international.
