Guardiola wants Kompany out
Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is open to the sale of defender Vincent Kompany in the summer transfer window.
The Belgian international has been a key member of the Citizens' squad that has gone on to win two league titles over the past lustrum.
According to The Sun, Guardiola has requested the club's hierarchy to listen to offers for their club-captain as he seeks to freshen up his backline for the next campaign.
The Spanish head coach is also said to have lined up Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte and Everton's John Stones as his prime targets for the summer.
City have struggled to keep up with league leaders Leicester City this season, and currently find themselves placed fourth, 12 points adrift of the Foxes.
