Man City looking at Ivorian defender

Villareal centre-back Eric Bailly could be the subject of a bid from Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

The Citizens have had their frailties in the backline this season, and this has costed them highly in their chase for the Premier League crown.

Catalan daily Sport understands that the Citizens will look to bring in a couple of defensive reinforcements ahead of their next campaign with Pep Guardiola.

The report goes on to state that Bailly is one of their prime targets following his impressive run for the Yellow Submarines this season.

Bailly was part of the Ivory Coast side that clinched the African Cup of Nations title in 2015.

The 21-year-old has featured in all but one league game for the La Liga outfit this term.
