Man City leading the chase for Laporte

Man city are thought to have won the race for Bilbao's hotly rated center back Aymerica Laporte.

The 21 year old has been linked with lots of clubs with the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea both reportedly interested. However it seems that Manchester City are winning and have reportedly agreed a £35 million fee for the French international. Laporte has impressed this season and at only 21, many are tipping him to develop into a world class player. With Guardiola coming in to an aging City team he needs to sign good quality young players to rebuild the side. Laporte ticks all the boxes and with the rumored signing of John Stones, City could have a defensive partnership that will rule world football.
