Fiorentina favourites to land Sirigu

Fiorentina are heading the queue to sign Liverpool target Salvatore Sirigu, L'Equipe reports. The Italian goalkeeper has been tipped to leave Paris Saint-Germain after he failed to earn a regular role under Laurent Blanc this term.

Sirigu has played second fiddle to Kevin Trapp this season, and signs he could leave Parc des Princes during the next transfer window.

According to French outlet L'Equipe, Les Parisiens will not come in the way of the player with France international Alphonso Areola set to return from a successful loan spell at Villareal.

It is added that Fiorentina are favourites to land Sirigu as they seek to find a replacement for the under-performing Ciprian Tatarusanu.

The 29-year-old has made just two league starts for Les Parisiens this campaign.
