Wojciech Szczesny wants permanent Roma stay
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is eager to extend his stay at Roma beyond the expiry of his loan contract this summer.
The Poland international joined the Giallorossi on a temporary deal last year after the Gunners completed the signing of Petr Cech from London rivals Chelsea.
Since then, the 26-year-old has amassed 31 league appearances for the Italian side, who are just two points away from securing Champions League football.
"I want to stay. It's not all up to me, obviously. I want it to happen, and I know Roma and Arsenal are talking about it, so we'll see what happens," he told Italian outlet Messaggero.
"I'm happy to have helped the team and winning the title must be the next objective for this club."
Szczesny has two years left on his existing deal at the Emirates.
