Bayern Munich enter Xhaka chase

Bayern Munich are interested in signing reported Arsenal target and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international has been strongly tipped to a move to the Emirates after the Gunners held negotiations with Gladbach officials.

Xhaka has repeatedly expressed his dream of playing for a Premier League club, but according to German outlet Express, the Gunners could face stiff competition with the Bavarian giants seemingly keen on the player's signature.

The report adds that Incoming Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti has the green signal to trigger the player's £23m buy-out clause.

The 23-year-old has earned over 130 appearances for Gladbach since his move from Basel in 2012.
