West Ham plan Icardi bid
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has emerged as a surprise target for West Ham United this summer. The club are eager to bring in a top-class striker ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium.
The Hammers have had a great campaign under Slaven Bilic this term, and will look to bank on the success next season.
According to The Mirror, the East London side have switched their focus to Icardi after they were priced out of a move for Marseille ace Michy Batshuayi.
Marseille had placed their striker at a hefty value of £32m and this put off the Hammers.
On the other hand, Icardi could be available at a fee of around £20m and this is likely to attract competition from several European clubs.
West Ham are currently sixth in the league standings.
