Jamie Vardy linked with West Ham

West Ham United are reported to be planning a surprise swoop for Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.

The England international has been in sublime form for the Foxes this season, and this has played a crucial role in attaining the club's first-ever league title.

A report from The Mail reveals that the Hammers could come up with a substantial offer for the 29-year-old as they seek to bring in a marquee striker ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium.

However, the English champions are unlikely to entertain offers for their star asset, given he still has three years left on his existing deal at the King Power Stadium.

Vardy is currently only second to Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane in the race for the Premier League golden boot.
