West Ham, Arsenal monitoring Carrick situation
London duo West Ham United and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the contract status of Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick. The England international has yet to receive an extension with his current deal due to expire at the end of next month.
Carrick, 34, has been a brilliant servant for the Red Devils since his move from Tottenham Hotspur nearly a decade ago.
According to The Star, United's hierarchy are reluctant to discuss terms with the player as they look to bring fresh blood to the club's setup over the summer.
The report adds that experienced campaigner will have plenty of offers on the table with Arsenal, Everton, Stoke City and West Ham United all vying for his services.
Should Carrick leave on a Bosman, he would have good memories to take by as he clinched the FA Cup on his final appearance in a United shirt.
