Danny Drinkwater wanted at Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eager to pursue a summer deal for Danny Drinkwater after his impressive showing in Leicester City's historic Premier League triumph.

The former Manchester United graduate has made great strides with the Foxes over the past year and was recently named in England's 26-man provisional squad for Euro 2016.

According to The Mirror, Klopp is hopeful of luring the England international to the Reds, who are left with no European football for next season following their 3-1 mauling at the hands of Sevilla in the Europa League final.

Nevertheless, Foxes would be reluctant to sell their player as they seek to challenge Europe's elite in the Champions League during the 2016/17 campaign.

Drinkwater appeared in all but three league outings for Claudio Ranieri's side last season.
