Loris Karius undergoing Liverpool medical

Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius is reportedly having a medical ahead of his switch to Liverpool. The 22-year-old has been identified as a competitor to Simon Mignolet for the number one role.

Recent speculation suggested that the Reds could move for a new shot-stopper with manager Jurgen Klopp eager to provide a suitable rival to the inconsistent Mignolet.

According to Sky Sports, Karius is undergoing a series of medical tests with the Anfield side, and a deal is likely to go through once the clubs finalize a sum for the agreement.

Karius has amassed over 90 league appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, and it seems to have done enough to to earn him a dream move to the Premier League.
