Arsenal in talks for Carrasco?

Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco. The Atletico Madrid man, a star of the Champions League final, has three years remaining on his deal in Spain.

The former Monaco star had been monitored by Arsenal for several months and the Gunners are contemplating matching the forward's buyout clause, said to be around 43 million euros. Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Leicester City star Jamie Vardy but Carrasco is said to be an alternative to the England international if a deal falls through for Vardy. The Gunners are rumoured to be ready to smash transfer records in order to build a team capable of winning the Premier League next season.
