Man Utd to spend big on Alvaro Morata?

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is open to tabling a mega-offer to land Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. The 23-year-old has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea amid claims that he could leave Juventus over the summer.

Spanish publication Marca says former club Real Madrid will activate the £23.4m buy-back option on Morata's contract before selling him for a decent profit in the transfer window.

The Special One is thought to be a huge admirer of the Spaniard, and United are likely to bid a fee of around £50m to recruit the player ahead of their league rivals.

Morata made his first competitive appearance during Mourinho's three-year spell at the Bernabeu.
