Southampton table Adam Ounas bid

Premier League side Southampton have lodged a formal offer for Manchester United target and Bordeaux midfielder Adam Ounas. The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season for the French outfit netting six goals and three assists in all competitions.

RMC Sport says the Saints are the first side to make an approach for the teenager amid interest from the likes of Manchester United, Stoke City and Napoli.

However, the club still have a long way to go to the player as their £7m bid is well short of Bordeaux's £16m valuation for the youngster.

Ounas has three years left on his existing deal at the Girondins.
