Marek Hamsik to Chelsea?

Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has caught the eye of Chelsea following his impressive showing in Slovakia's 2-1 win over Russia at the European championships.

The 28-year-old setup up the opener before netting one for himself as the Slovaks came one step closer to reaching the knock-out stages of the elite showpiece.

Widespread sources suggest that the Blues had made contact with the player's agent after his excellent performance for his national side. But, talks have stalled since then with the attacker more focused on extending his stay at the Naples outfit.

Hamsik has two years left on his existing contract.
