Everton want Morgan Schneiderlin

Everton are preparing a formal approach for Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. The 26-year-old had a tough debut season at Old Trafford following his move from Southampton last summer.

The Mirror says the Toffees will make a move to sign the France international after new boss Ronald Koeman signaled his intent to spend on midfield recruits over the summer.

Schneiderlin has had a good relationship with Koeman since his time at Southampton, and a move could help him get back to his old self ahead of the new campaign.

United are likely to demand a fee of around £20m for the player's sale in the transfer window.

The midfielder appeared in 29 league games for United last term.
