Vardy to remain at Leicester - Wenger

England international Jamie Vardy will remain at Leicester City for the summer, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners had triggered the player's £20m release clause earlier this month. and this lead to suggestions he could pen a four-year contract before heading for the European championships in France.

However, the 29-year-old has since snubbed the approach from the North London outfit thus giving a clear indication on his desire to stay put at the King Power Stadium.

While speaking to Chinese television, Wenger admitted that a move for the Englishman is unlikely to take place.

"Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester." He said.

Vardy netted 24 goals for the Foxes as they cruised to a historic and unprecedented league title last term.
