Besiktas confirm Ospina interest
Turkish champions Besiktas are in the running to sign Arsenal's unsettled goalkeeper David Ospina. The 27-year-old is weighing up his options after he played second fiddle to Petr Cech for the number one role last season.
Ospina had a tough 2015/16 campaign as he appeared in just four league games for the Gunners, that too in Cech's absence through injury.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman has now confirmed that his side are interested in the Colombian, but the Gunners' £3m valuation is well above their range.
"Arsenal want a lot for him so we may have to look for alternatives. I do want Ospina and we are going to get a foreign keeper." he was quoted as saying in The Mirror.
The talented shot-stopper joined the Gunners from French side Nice following his impressive showing at the World Cup in 2014.
