Spurs sign Victor Wanyama

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama for an undisclosed fee. The Kenyan international will link up with his new teammates when the transfer window reopens next month.

Speculation over Wanyama's move to White Hart Lane had gathered pace last week, and it is now official that the player has inked a five-year contract with the North London outfit.

"We are delighted to announce that we have completed the transfer of @VictorWanyama from Southampton." the club confirmed via their twitter account.

The 24-year-old will be departing the Saints having made a total of 92 appearances in three seasons.

Spurs are believed to have paid a sum of £11.5m for the player's signature.
