Southampton sign Nathan Redmond

Nathan Redmond has joined Southampton on a five-year contract for a fee of around £11m. The 22-year-old makes his move to the South Coast following three seasons with Norwich City.

The winger becomes the Saints' first summer signing after he had a medical and agreed to personal terms earlier in the day.

"I'm really pleased to have made the move to Southampton. It's a fantastic football club with excellent facilities, and I really feel I can develop my game here," he told the club's official website.

"When Southampton said they were interested it felt like the right move for me, and I can't wait to get started now."

Redmond appeared in 34 games for the Canaries as they failed to beat the Premier League drop last term.
