PSG set to sign Hatem Ben Arfa
French champions Paris Saint Germain are set to complete the signing of Hatem Ben Arfa in the coming days, after the former Lyon player completed a medical today.
French media outlet RMC is reporting that the 29-year-old France international has completed his medical and will be confirmed as a PSG player by Saturday.
Ben Arfa is a free agent after the expiration of his contract at Nice, and it was thought that the player was close to agreeing a deal to sign for Sevilla.
But it has now emerged that PSG -- who were always believed to be Ben Arfa's preference -- have made a late approach and have stolen the talented winger from under the noses of the Andalusians.
After his career went off the rails in England, following a failed loan deal at Hull City and the cancellation of his Newcastle United contract, Ben Arfa joined Ligue 1 side Nice last summer.
While at Nice, Ben Arfa set about getting his career back on track with some consistently excellent performances, helping the club finish fourth in the French top division, while being voted into the Ligue 1 team of the season.
The Parisans will be without top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic next season, as the veteran Swedish striker today announced that he will be joining Manchester United on a free transfer, as his PSG contract expired.
