Juventus make Alexis Sanchez offer
Juventus have made a formal approach to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez. The Old Lady have stepped up their pursuit for the Chilean after Alvaro Morata returned to Real Madrid.
Spanish striker Morata completed his much-awaited move to the Bernabeu last month after Los Blancos activated the buy-back option placed during his Juventus sale in 2014.
Italian source Calcio Mercato says Juve have tabled an opening offer of £25.6m for Sanchez as they bid to fill the void in the striking department.
The Turin giants are thought to have intensified their chase for the player following his excellent contribution towards Chile's second consecutive Copa America triumph this summer.
Arsene Wenger's side are for now reluctant to offload their asset, but with a fresh contract yet to be resolved, they may be tempted to accept a fee in the region of £36m for his services.
Sanchez is contracted to the Gunners until the summer of 2018.
