Arsenal approach for Neven Subotic
Arsenal have made an offer to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic. The Serbian has decided to leave BVB over the summer after he fell out-of-favour under Thomas Tuchel.
The 27-year-old recently released a statement revealing his desire to seek a fresh challenge next season.
Liverpool and Middlesbrough have been strongly linked with the central defender in recent weeks, but according to German publication Express, it is the Gunners who are in pole position to secure the player's services.
Arsene Wenger's side are reported to be tabled a £12m bid for the player, which is nearly three times the valuation set by BVB.
Subotic had a tough spell last term as he was restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions.
He has also earned 36 caps for Serbia with his last appearance coming in 2013.
