Watford set sights on Daryl Janmaat
Watford are lining up a potential bid for Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat. The Netherlands international is destined to leave the Magpies this summer after they were relegated to the Championship.
According to The Star, the Hornets are keen on making a move for the Dutchman with manager Walter Mazzarri looking to bolster his backline ahead of the campaign.
However, the club would have to cough up a sum in the region of £10m as the Magpies reluctant to offload the player for anything less in the transfer window.
The 26-year-old was one of the bright lights for the Magpies, who had a season to forget in the top flight last term.
Janmaat has appeared in 75 games for the Tyneside outfit since his move from Feyenoord in 2014.
