Liverpool agree Georginio Wijnaldum fee

Liverpool have reportedly settled on a £25m sum with Newcastle United for Dutch attacker Georginio Wijnaldum. The Netherlands international has been tipped to make a top flight return following the Magpies' relegation to the Championship.

According to The Mail, the Reds have finalized a transfer agreement for the 25-year-old after weeks of negotiations with the Tyneside outfit.

Wijnaldum will undergo a series of medical tests later today before linking up with his new teammates on their pre-season of the United States.

The Reds have agreed to offer a player on loan next season as part of the proposed transfer.

The Dutchman joined the Magpies from PSV Eindhoven last summer, and racked an impressive tally of 11 goals in all competitions.
