Olivier Giroud to remain at Arsenal

Olivier Giroud will stay put at the Emirates for the summer, as per his agent. The Frenchman was recently linked with a move to Napoli.

It had been reported last week that the Gunners could place the 29-year-old as make-weight in a deal which could Gonzalo Higuain make his way to North London.

However, Giroud's agent Michael Manuello has clearly dismissed the claims, suggesting that his client is by no means leaving the Gunners in the current transfer window.

He added that the Napoli story has no truth to it, given he has made no contact with the Serie A side.

Despite his fair share of criticism, Giroud has earned the respect from the Gunners' faithful.

The France international has netted 82 goals in 188 games for Arsenal since his move from Montpellier in 2012.

He was recently part of Didier Deschamps' squad that lost out to Portugal in the finals of Euro 2016.
