Jamie Vardy denies Arsenal talks
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has insisted that he did not hold talks with Arsenal over a possible summer move.
The England international was rumoured to be on verge of joining the Gunners after they activated his £20m release clause prior to the European championships.
However, he followed to pen a fresh four-year deal at the King Power Stadium thereby ending the Gunners pursuit for his services.
When asked on the Gunners' interest, Vardy revealed that he had not made any contact with the North London outfit, and it was always on his mind to ink a contract extension.
"Personally I feel I have a lot of unfinished business here. It wasn't that big a decision, it was quite easy, this is where I wanted to be," he told reporters.
"I was away with England. No [I never spoke with them]."
Vardy was in the stands yesterday as the Foxes were humbled by Paris Saint-Germain by a 4-0 scoreline in the International Champions Cup.
